ATLANTA - November 11, 2015 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Carvel …America’s Freshest Ice Cream®, is hosting a franchise Discovery Day event Wednesday, November 18 for prospective franchisees to learn more about franchise opportunities and meet with Carvel executives. Carvel is inviting highly motivated people with business experience who would like to own a Carvel franchise to attend the event, which will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the new Carvel shoppe located at 650 Farmington Avenue Bristol, CT. Carvel introduced a new ice cream shoppe design to celebrate its 80th anniversary and has seen record sales growth driven by innovative new products including Nutella® and Reese’s Peanut Butter® soft ice cream. “It’s an exciting time to open a Carvel franchise, especially in Connecticut, which is home to some of our top-performing locations,” said Carvel President, Scott Colwell. “Attending the franchise discovery day is an opportunity for interested people to come meet with us, learn more about the brand, and experience first-hand the new shoppe design.”

The new shoppe design features a more contemporary atmosphere, digital menu boards and other updates that showcase Carvel’s menu items, including new dipping cabinets and a large display area for the brand’s signature ice cream cakes.
Longtime Carvel franchisee George Tsioflikis, who owns two shoppes in Watertown and Naugatuck, has found success with the brand in Connecticut. Tsioflikis has seen traffic and brand recognition increase since joining the system in 1996.

The total initial investment for a full-service Carvel shoppe ranges from $250,000 to $380,000 and varies based on location, square footage and equipment package. Full-service Carvel shoppes range in size from 800 to 1,200 square feet.
