Gyroville: A Fresh Player to the Franchise Scene

Popular Southeast Florida Fast Casual, Build-Your-Own Mediterranean Concept Now Expanding through Franchising; Inks First Franchise Deal to Bring the Brand to Central Florida

May 12, 2016 // // BOCA RATON, Fla. – Rooted in Greek Heritage with a fast casual, build-your-own spin, Gyroville has set a solid foundation in the Southeast Florida market and is primed for national expansion. The nine-unit Mediterranean, healthy-food destination is seeking franchisees to drive growth to meet the increasing popularity of the clean eating lifestyle.

“Consumers are becoming increasingly health conscious and aware of better eating habits – as this trend continues, so will the demand for our menu offerings. Consumers choose Gyroville because we offer a fresh, healthy alternative to the mundane options in the crowded fast casual market,” said Lambros Kokkinelis, CEO and founder of Gyroville, which opened its first restaurant in 2010. “We’ve spent the last few years preparing to franchise and are ready to grow our brand up through Florida and across the U.S.”

Initially, the Mediterranean restaurant is targeting franchise expansion efforts in the Southeastern United States. A recently signed agreement with a local entrepreneur will introduce Gyroville to Central Florida with its first franchise location opening in Orlando later this year. The company has also received strong interest from master franchise developers throughout the Southeast.

Gyroville is seeking master franchise developers, multi-unit operators and owner-operators. Ideal franchise owners should have previous professional experience and show a high level of organization and reliability. Kokkinelis added, “Though ideal, previous restaurant experience is not required to be a Gyroville franchisee. We have a proven business model and have established systems in place that streamline all aspects of operations. Plus, we offer a three-week training program to franchisees and management.”

Franchisees benefit from Gyroville’s national purchasing deals, as well as a partnership with Buxton to aid in the placement of new locations. Gyroville is also on the SBA registry and has equipment financing available through Marlin. Depending on size, location, etc., the average cost to open a Gyroville is around $250,000. Ideal locations are high-trafficked lifestyle centers and need 1,000-1,400 square feet for inline locations with outdoor dining.

The first Gyroville opened in January 2010 in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Today, there are nine locations in South Florida. For more information, visit
