First Location in CaliBurger's Home State Requires Reservations

PASADENA, Calif. - May 19, 2016 // PRNewswire // - CaliBurger™, an international restaurant franchise, announced today that it is opening its first restaurant in California in June 2016, in the state where the business was conceptualized. The store, a 21st century revival of the classic California burger joint with a tech focus, will be located in Pasadena at 245 E Green Street (across from Starbucks). The launch of the CaliBurger brand in Southern California follows recent openings globally and across North America in Maryland, Seattle and Vancouver, B.C.

Customers can be the first to experience CaliBurger's Pasadena location by making reservations through the CaliBurger App for mobile ordering and interactive gaming, which is available for download from app stores. This is in response to overwhelming crowds during CaliBurger openings in other North American markets.  The CaliBurger mobile-ordering and reservation app is the first of its kind for a fast-casual burger concept in the U.S.

"We started conceptualizing CaliBurger in Los Angeles and went to Asia, the Middle East, Europe and other parts of the U.S. before coming back home to California," said John Miller, chairman of CaliBurger. "We were inspired by many California burger concepts, but have spent a ton of time refining our products and the restaurant experience over the years. The menu consists of fresh, affordable burgers, chicken sandwiches, handspun milkshakes and fresh-cut fries. In addition to the food, the "Fun Wall" allows visitors to play a selection of video games like Hashtag Blitz and Minecraft with fellow customers. Hashtag Blitz, one of the new mobile games in the "Fun Wall" portfolio, allows customers to use their mobile devices to compete by identifying pictures shown on the video wall of CaliBurger's international locations, customers and brand ambassadors.
