Culver's Restaurants Honor "Everyday Heroes" in National Ad Campaign

Brand Leverages Traditional and Social Media to Find Real Stories of People Going Above and Beyond the Call of Duty

PRAIRIE DU SAC, WI - (Marketwired - June 13, 2016) - A patriot, police sergeant and volunteer firefighter. A president and CEO of a Boys and Girls Club dedicated to helping high schoolers graduate. A founder of a therapeutic riding center for people with disabilities and victims of abuse. A farmer working to eliminate hunger in his community.

These are just a few of the Everyday Heroes that Culver's communities identified when the restaurant brand put a call out to its guests to nominate, for a chance to share in a sweet surprise, the people in their lives who go above and beyond the call of duty. What they didn't know was that the surprise would include a visit from Culver's co-founder Craig Culver and a starring role in their own Culver's TV commercial.

Culver's received more than 800 Everyday Hero nominations on social media and a few suggestions based on stories covered in traditional news media. After identifying four stories that stood out, Culver's reached out to the nominators to coordinate the surprise moments in mid-May. Two of the TV spots begin airing today, and two will air next summer.
