MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - October 04, 2016 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Happy Tax, the only franchisor offering a concierge, on-demand model in the tax preparation industry, is pleased to announce that the company’s founder and CEO, Mario Costanz, has been selected for participation in the third cohort of the prestigious Stanford Latino Entrepreneur Leaders Program (SLELP3).

Only 77 entrepreneurs from across the United States out of hundreds of applicants were chosen to be a part of the six-week program. The program was jointly developed by Stanford Graduate School of Business faculty and The Latino Business Action Network (LBAN).

“I am eager to access this rich cluster of learning resources and opportunities, which will ultimately make their way into Happy Tax’s growth initiatives, and further, shared with the Happy Tax community of franchisees, independent contractors and team members,” explains Happy Tax founder and CEO Mario Costanz. “Likewise, I look forward to sharing the innovations in service that Happy Tax already has and is continuing to develop with the members of the Stanford and LBAN communities.”

SLELP3 is designed to help growth companies to continue scaling their businesses. It provides participants with valuable concepts and frameworks, enhanced access to capital, personal mentorship from successful entrepreneurs and investors, and a better understanding of the capital resources necessary to grow their businesses, create jobs, and build a stronger economy.

Participants were chosen based on their drive, work ethic, and ambition to help develop communities across the United States.

“Our mission is to provide world class tax preparation services and franchise opportunities to anyone interested in earning additional money, increasing their revenue or building a scalable business,” adds Costanz. “I’m excited to join this program because our system that leverages the power of working smart, not hard, was recognized by the leaders at the number one ranked graduate school in the country for 2016. We remain committed to continuing to provide better support to business owners and consumers with our superior technology, amazing people and exceptional experience.”

About Happy Tax

Shaking up the $19 billion tax preparation industry, Happy Tax’s disruptive model was born out of frustration with unreliable, under-qualified tax preparers with no licensing or certification and as little as five days of tax training. Happy Tax is designed to bridge the gap between the high-quality, pampered and convenient customer service that consumers want, and accurate, reliable and professional tax returns prepared by CPAs with a minimum of 5 years of training and experience. Happy Tax offers franchises to those wanting to earn additional income and build their own business. Utilizing its patent-pending technology and processes, Happy Tax franchisees are able to operate with low overhead and increased flexibility.
