Schlotzsky’s® Opens New Location in Kent, WA

Franchisee Brings Second Location to Washington, Elevating Brand’s Presence in the State

November 03, 2016 // Franchising.com // Atlanta, GA – Schlotzsky’s®, home of The Original® oven-baked sandwich and famous Fresh-from-Scratch® buns, is opening their newest location in Kent, Washington at 10054 SE 256th Street, on November 10 at 10 a.m. The Kent location is the first Schlotzsky’s location to open in the Seattle area, and the second location to open in the state of Washington.

“Washington represents an important part of Schlotzsky’s growth strategy, and we’re excited about the brand’s continued expansion into the Pacific Northwest region,” said Peter Ortiz, Schlotzsky’s Vice President of Franchise Development. “Schlotzsky’s has become a top choice for some of the most successful multi-unit franchise owners in the country, so we’re excited to watch the brand grow in this new market due in large part to the talent of our franchisees.”

The Kent location is owned and operated by franchisees Peter Johns and Bret Stewart This is the franchisees’ first joint operation, and they have plans to open six Schlotzsky’s locations in the Seattle area over the next several years. Stewart brings a wealth of franchise experience, and currently operates a Schlotzsky’s in Anchorage as well as 15 Auntie Anne’s Pretzel franchises.

The restaurant will kick off its grand opening with a celebration on November 10 at 10 a.m. The first 100 guests to purchase a CinnaPack® of six Cinnabon® Classic rolls will win one free small The Original® sandwich every week for an entire year. The store will operate from 7 a.m.to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.
