iLoveKickboxing's 45-Day Transformation Contest Winners Announced

Including Tracy Dennard, Who Loses 43 Lbs. and Overcomes Depression to Win $20,000 Grand Prize

MERRICK, NY (PRWEB) December 08, 2016 - iLoveKickboxing.com, the fast-growing fitness kickboxing franchise with more than 175+ locations worldwide announced that Tracy Dennard, a 48-year-old mom from Richardson, TX, beat out 4,345 contestants to win the grand prize of $20,000 in the company’s semi-annual 45 Day Transformation Contest.

Dennard was devastated after her sister suddenly passed away. Depressed about how her mental state was affecting her physical health, she purchased an ILKB web-special to start herself on her fitness journey. Once she began going to class, sometimes twice a day, her healing started.

“My sister was my best friend; we did everything together. Some days I cried after class but the stronger I became, the better I felt,” said Dennard. “This contest has given me the confidence, strength, discipline, and attitude to move forward.”

Dennard was surprised by the news of her win over Facebook Live by iLoveKickboxing CEO Michael Parrella and Spokesperson Teresa Oxford Parrella, and in-person by Richardson Studio Manager Indu Mannikam during one of her classes.

Megan Mundine of Reno, Nevada lost 18lbs and won the second-place prize of $3,000. At one point in her life, 34-year-old Mundine could not even fit into a single airplane seat. She used the Contest to finalize the last leg of her weight loss journey, reaching her goal of losing a total of 100 lbs. on day 45.

Shawn Collins, of Aurora Colorado lost 34 lbs. and won the third-place prize of $1,000. Feeling like he was letting his family down by not taking better care of himself, Collins claims embarrassment drove him to compete in the 45 Day Transformation Contest. The 58-year old wanted to prove to his wife, daughters and himself that even at his age, he could still be in great shape, with all the vitality needed to be an outstanding husband and father.

Throughout the 45 days, participants were asked to attend at least 15 iLoveKickboxing classes, follow a healthy meal plan at home, provide before and after pictures and shoot a 3-minute video about their journey. Winners were chosen using the following criteria:

  1. Physical transformation.
  2. Pounds lost.
  3. Participant’s personal stories, as iLoveKickboxing believes that an inner-transformation is just as important as an outer one.

Now in its third year, thousands of participants have collectively lost over 10,000 pounds since the challenge began.

“The 45-Day Contest is one of my favorite initiatives at iloveKickboxing. Watching it grow from a few hundred participants in 2013 to over 4,000 this year is incredible,” said iLoveKickboxing CEO and founder Michael Parrella. “It is so gratifying to see the transformation our members experience and to hear about all of their accomplishments, both physically and mentally,” he added.

Although this was a competition, thousands of contenders supported each other through a private Facebook group. In addition to coaching from instructors at individual studios, the company provided diet and workout tips through videos and social media posts.

The next 45-Day Transformation Contest registration kicks off January 2 - 9. For more information visit: http://45day.ilovekickboxing.com/.
