Pet Supplies Plus Announces Cat Adoption Plans for June

America’s Neighborhood Pet Store Hosting In-Store Adoption Events, Cat-Friendly Promotions for Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month

May 26, 2017 // // LIVONIA, Mich. – More than 3 million cats enter animal shelters every year and America’s favorite neighborhood pet store is making its primary goal for the month of June, National Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month, to find homes for as many of them as possible. Beginning June 1 and running through the end of month, Pet Supplies Plus stores in neighborhoods throughout the United States will be hosting in-store adoption events, with dates and times varying by location.

Community members are encouraged to contact their local Pet Supplies Plus store for specific adoption event details. Information regarding dates and times for each location can also be found on Last year, nearly 400 cats were adopted at Pet Supplies Plus stores around the country, and the neighborhood store has its eyes set higher this year.

“We want our neighbors to know we are doing everything in our power to find forever homes for adorable cats across the country,” said Pet Supplies Plus CEO Chris Rowland. “We are dedicating the entire month of June to this initiative and can’t wait to see happy neighbors and their feline friends in all of our stores.”

In addition to the month-long adoption events, Pet Supplies Plus will offer substantial savings on cat supplies at local stores and $10 off cat vaccinations at participating locations through VIP Pet Care with the Cat Spring Offer. Neighbors must bring in the voucher found at the previous link to receive the discount, and those who adopt a cat during the adoption events will receive an informative New Cat Checklist with a coupon for $10 off a purchase of $50 or more.

Set in welcoming neighborhood environments, Pet Supplies Plus team members get to know their neighbors and pets by name at each location. Many stores feature a full offering of grooming services, which include washes, haircuts and body brushing. The company was founded on the idea that convenient, quality service for busy neighbors was lacking in the pet industry in 1988. Since then, the neighborhood-style pet store has become a household name in 31 states.
