theCoderSchool Set to Open First School in Massachusetts

Silicon Valley-based children’s enterprise franchise comes to Natick

July 20, 2017 // Franchising.com // Palo Alto, CA - theCoderSchool - recently identified as one of Entrepreneur magazine’s “top five franchises to watch” - has announced that a new school is set to open on July 24 in Natick, MA. The new school will aim to show a new generation of kids how galvanizing and stimulating technology can be, while coaching coding skills that are highly in demand and applicable across all industries.

The new school, located at 843 Worcester Street in Natick, will be owned by Caroline Yee, who plans to open at least three schools over the next several years throughout the greater Boston metro.

“I’m thrilled to introduce theCoderSchool to Natick,” said Yee. “Learning how to program computers is an incredibly valuable skill, and one that is in demand right now in any industry. However, theCoderSchool understands that learning to code can do more than just provide a valuable life skill - through our 2-on-1, project-based approach, we aim to show parents and kids that learning to code is a genuinely fun experience and a great creative outlet.”

theCoderSchool was built with the desire to provide children aged 7 to 18 years with a welcoming environment to develop computer programming skills. theCoderSchool uses a variety of platforms to teach various coding languages, such as HTML, CSS, Python, Javascript and more. Every Code Coaching lesson is customized with the help of trained Code Coaches® who use a 2-on-1 approach to teaching.

“We are always looking for franchisees whose primary goal is to set kids up with a positive, life-long relationship with tech and coding,” said theCoderSchool founder, Hansel Lynn. “Caroline epitomizes this mentality, and we are confident she will be able to bring a fun, engaging environment to Natick that also helps improves kids’ logic, ideation and creative thinking skills.”

theCoderSchool is also a proud founding member of the International Alliance of Youth Coding Educators. The IAYCE is an alliance of global partners whose goal is to further coding education for youth around the world.
