Office Pride Commercial Cleaning Services, a 5 Star VetFran Franchise, Awards Three Winning Veterans with an Initial Franchise Fee Giveaway

November 11, 2017 // Franchising.com // PALM HARBOR, Fla. – Today, Office Pride Commercial Cleaning announced the winners of its Veterans Day giveaway, three U.S. military veterans who bravely served their country and are now being rewarded with an extraordinary initial franchise fee giveaway and an opportunity to qualify for franchise ownership with Office Pride.

After a review of all prospective veteran franchisee submissions and essays, Office Pride has notified the following winning applicants: Roberto Rodriguez, of Chesapeake, VA; Mike Tuck, of Chula Vista, CA; and Veronica Loewy, of Chicago.

Office Pride will honor these selected winners by waiving the initial franchise fee, a $35,000 value, for a new Office Pride Commercial Cleaning franchise. The contest was open to all active duty service members and Honorably Discharged veterans from any branch of the U.S. armed forces.

“The quality of the submissions we received for this contest were outstanding, but Roberto, Mike and Veronica’s applications were a testament to the extraordinary skills and capabilities of all who have served in our country’s armed forces,” said Todd Hopkins, CEO of Office Pride Commercial Cleaning. “Our goal with the franchisee fee giveaway was to give more qualified veterans a path to becoming an Office Pride franchisee than ever before. I’m confident these three veterans would be able to make a positive difference in their communities through business ownership.”

Rodriguez, a Marine officer of 20 years, said in his essay he will draw on his knowledge of operations and project management experience to run an Office Pride business, which ranged from leading Marines and foreign soldiers conducting NATO operations to streamlining transportation of supplies to warfighters.

Tuck would bring years of experience in military service to business ownership, all of which included teambuilding skills, creative problem solving and an ability to use limited resources to accomplish complex operational objectives.

Loewy previously worked as a human rights investigator for government agencies, before deploying with the Army under Operation Enduring Freedom. She intends to use her next career as an entrepreneur as an opportunity to hire other veterans and support her community.

“The same qualities that allow someone to succeed as a member of our nation’s armed services made all of our applicants for our Veterans Day giveaway stand out as exceptional franchisee candidates for Office Pride,” said Gerry Henley, executive vice president of Office Pride. “We always want to make sure we’re bringing the best entrepreneurs to the table, and Roberto, Mike and Veronica stood out as incredibly deserving of the opportunity to qualify to open an Office Pride location in their local markets.”

Office Pride has long made it a priority to seek out high quality veteran candidates for its franchise opportunity. Men and women with military service often exemplify the very core values Office Pride looks for in prospective franchisees, including commitment, teamwork, dedication, who value training and support and who are driven succeed in their mission.

Starting Aug. 18 with an entry deadline of Oct. 20, Office Pride invited prospective franchisees to submit an essay as well as complete a Franchise Application and Personal Financial Statement and a Spot-On assessment. The brief essay focused on how an applicant’s background and career goals align with Office Pride’s mission and values and why they would like to become a member of the Office Pride franchise family.

A panel of judges from Office Pride selected Rodriguez, Tuck and Loewy based on their contest applications, which included the essay. Winning contestants will still need to meet all of Office Pride’s standard franchisee qualifications.

Office Pride shows its ongoing commitment to veteran business ownership by offering a 25 percent discount off of the initial franchise fee for any military veteran seeking to open an Office Pride franchise. In recognition of Office Pride’s dedication to attracting former service members, Military Times has placed the company on its “Best for Vets” franchise list. Franchise Business Review consistently ranks Office Pride as a Top Franchise for Veterans.

In addition the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) has designated Office Pride as one of America’s “Top Franchises for Veterans” with a 5 Star VetFran rating, a designation received by only a select number of franchise brands in the United States.

The announcement of the winners of the Veterans Day initial franchise fee giveaway comes as Office Pride is achieving impressive 20+ percent average revenue growth for its franchise offices, while also significantly expanding across the United States this year.
