Nothing Bundt Cakes Celebrates 20 Years In Business

Bakery now has more than 200 locations

November 15, 2017 // // ADDISON, Texas - Nothing Bundt Cakes, the national bakery chain that launched in Las Vegas in 1997, marks its 20th birthday this year on National Bundt Day, Wednesday, Nov. 15.

Nothing Bundt Cakes started in the Las Vegas home kitchens of Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz, who together created a business out of making high-quality Bundt Cakes in a variety of flavors and sizes, all “crowned” with their signature cream cheese frosting.

Their original Las Vegas bakery remains in operation today, and the company has grown to 228 company-owned and franchise bakeries in 32 U.S. states. It opened its first international location in Burlington, Ontario last year.

“We’re celebrating 20 years of making life sweeter with our delectable cakes across the country,” said Tripp, co-founder and chairman of Nothing Bundt Cakes. “We are particularly proud to have supported female entrepreneurs over the years, with 95 percent of our franchised bakeries owned by women.”

The company, now based in Addison, Texas, experiences double-digit sales increases year over year. With a focus on growth, it currently has agreements to open 40 new bakeries in 2018, and has been named a top franchise concept by multiple publications.

In addition to selling cakes, from full-sized 8-inch and 10-inch cakes to miniature Bundtlets to bite-sized Bundtinis, available in nine classic flavors and one featured flavor, Nothing Bundt Cakes bakeries offerings include greeting cards, gift items and party supplies.
