Men's Grooming & Lifestyle Club Opens First Franchised Location

On the heels of a strong first year in franchising, The Gents Place opens its first club in Chicago

November 16, 2017 // Franchising.com // DALLAS - The Gents Place, a lifestyle club bringing men's grooming to the next level, announced today the opening of its first franchised location since launching its national franchise program last summer. With an impressive 10 agreements signed in its first year and four corporately owned clubs currently open throughout Dallas and Kansas City, the new location has expanded the brand's presence to Chicago with their first, but certainly not last, location within the popular city. Situated in the bustling Chicago Loop, The Gents Place strategically converted what was once The 316 Club located at 175 West Jackson Blvd into its first club in the state of Illinois. The Gents Place will be opening its second franchised location in Houston in early 2018 with additional Chicago and Houston area licenses already awarded and in development.

The Gents Place Chicago will be owned and operated by Peter Terracina, who signed a multi-unit franchise agreement with the company back in March, opening its doors on November 30th. Located in the heart of Chicago's Loop, what was once The 316 Club has transformed into The Gents Place first franchised location, which will offer its unique grooming services, globally sourced retail goods and unparalleled guest experience. With strong ties to the Chicago market, Terracina has plans to open a second club in the Fulton River District in 2018.

The Gents Place prides itself on having one of the most unique service menus in the industry, epitomizing the exclusivity of an old-world speakeasy paired with an upscale, welcoming country club atmosphere. Not only can guests enjoy an incredible hair service and shave in the best men's grooming and lifestyle clubs in town, but also they can take advantage of all of the luxuries of a modern spa. In addition to offering men's grooming services, The Gents Place is a purveyor of hard-to-find retail goods from all over the world including its proprietary Rascal line of products, Truefitt & Hill, and Lakme, among others.

The company currently has three lifestyle clubs in North Texas (Dallas, Southlake and Frisco), a location in Leawood, Kansas in addition to the development of locations in Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Illinois. The company is seeking qualified franchisees to join the brand and currently has opportunities nationwide in markets such as Texas, Georgia, Florida and Illinois.

Prospective single- and multi-unit franchisees should possess a minimum net worth of $400,000 and liquid assets of at least $175,000. Candidates should have strong business, management and/or marketing experience. Franchisees can expect their initial investment to be between $440,955 – $705,980, including a $40,000 franchise fee. The Gents Place franchisees are provided with an array of tools to position them for success, including franchisee and management training; a proprietary web-based management system; ongoing hands-on training for club employees to learn our unique grooming methods, management and administration of a club; and advertising, marketing and public relations support. Additionally, The Gents Place provides assistance with site selection and construction.
