Classic Southern Barbecue Chain Looks South of the Border for Latest Limited Time Offer Inspiration

December 01, 2017 // Franchising.com // Jacksonville, Florida - Having recently enjoyed rave reviews for its last limited time offer - featuring a choice of Pork Belly Sandwich and Dinner, Woody’s Bar-B-Q was eager to roll out its newest campaign to end 2017 with a bang. While Woody’s is based in the Deep South by way of Jacksonville, Florida, the classic Southern Barbecue chain looked a little deeper South for inspiration from our neighbors in Mexico. The result was a trio of tacos dubbed The Three Amigos, which are available now through December 31, 2017 at participating restaurants.

“We’re always eager to ‘spice things up’ on our menu with a regular rotation of limited time offers,” explained Yolanda Mills-Mawman, President and Co-Founder of Woody’s Bar-B-Q. “Tacos seemed like a fun way to do just that. While we have a very loyal fan base who loves our regular menu of slow-smoked meats and comfort foods sides, we think they’ll really love these new menu items featuring a Mexican-Barbecue fusion. While everyone else is rolling out holiday-inspired dishes, we’ll be featuring something entirely different…. something our marketing team has dubbed a Fa-la-la-Fiesta.”

The Three Amigos trio of tacos from Woody’s Bar-B-Q include:

  • El Jefe - Pork Belly Taco
    Packed with perfectly prepared Pork Belly, tangy Pico do Gallo and Cilantro with a twist of Lime, this handheld homage to hog heaven is large and in charge!
  • Texas Toreador - Beef Brisket Taco
    Stuffed with our Texas Beef Brisket, Woody’s famous Cole Slaw and Colby-Jack Cheese, this taco really packs a punch thanks to a generous helping of Sriracha Sauce. One bite will have you saying “OLE!”
  • Fiesta Fowl - Fried Chicken Taco
    For a Southern twist on Tex Mex, we pair our Fried Chicken Tender with crisp Lettuce, Cheddar Jack Cheese and Chipotle Ranch, then wrap it in a soft Tortilla. It’s a party for the palate, so pass the sweet tea and a sombrero!
