The Dog Wizard Franchise Hosting National Unruly Christmas Puppy Contest
Thirteen Dog Wizard franchises across the United States will be giving away puppy training as part of the contest.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (PRWEB) January 08, 2018 - Getting a puppy for the holidays can be an amazing Christmas morning surprise, but sometimes that surprise brings with it a slew of other surprises… That’s why The Dog Wizard is running their first national Unruly Christmas Puppy Contest.
“Christmas puppies can make for the ultimate Christmas morning surprise, but after the puppy euphoria wears off, reality can set in quickly. It generally takes two to three weeks for new puppy owners to realize things like housebreaking, play biting, chewing and barking do not solve themselves,” The Dog Wizard Franchise Founder and CEO Gretchen Hollifield said.
Thirteen Dog Wizard franchises are participating in the contest and one winner will be selected in each market. To enter, send an email to your local Dog Wizard location detailing, in 500 words or less, why your Christmas puppy is the most unruly. The deadline to enter is January 31.
Here are the participating locations and the corresponding email addresses for entries:
- Charlotte, NC: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Cincinnati, OH: email@example.com
- Charleston, SC: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Gastonia, NC: email@example.com
- Greenville, NC: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Grand Rapids, MI: email@example.com
- Jacksonville, FL: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Lake Norman, NC: email@example.com
- Louisville, KY: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Orlando, FL: email@example.com
- Tampa, FL: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Washington DC: email@example.com
- Wilmington, NC: firstname.lastname@example.org
Each winner of The Dog Wizard’s Unruly Christmas Puppy Contest will receive free puppy training. Depending on the location, that could include group puppy classes, private puppy classes or a one-week boarding/training program.
“Unfortunately many puppy owners do not realize how important puppy training is until it is too late. Families often don’t think about seeking out training for their puppy unless they are having specific issues like house breaking, not knowing that the way they are interacting with their puppy on a daily basis is inadvertently shaping their dog for a future with separation anxiety or fear aggression. Puppies are like clean slates and the right training can help them be the kind of dog you want by your side every day,” Hollifield said.
The Dog Wizard Franchise is an emerging and successful dog training franchise system based in Charlotte. The company was founded in 2005 and Hollifield recently partnered with Franchise Funding Group in Cincinnati to accelerate the franchise system’s growth and help positively impact more dogs and families throughout America. There are currently 20 franchise locations in the United States. The Dog Wizard offers a wide variety of dog training services, including aggression rehab, baby prep, leash walking, obedience, problem solving, puppy classes, rescue rehab, separation anxiety and socialization.

About The Dog Wizard
The Dog Wizard was started out of love for dogs and a burning desire for a better and more fulfilling life. After graduating from Wake Forest, where she was a point guard on the women’s basketball team, Gretchen Hollifield found herself working a traditional office job 50+ hours a week stuck behind a desk, trapped inside all day, and with very little excitement and joy in her work life. She dreaded going to work and finally reached her breaking point and escaped. Her real passion was being around dogs. So in 1997, with courage and faith, Gretchen became a certified dog trainer. But sadly, the expensive certification company, like most, only gave her technical training and didn’t properly prepare her to market, operate, and grow a successful and substantial business. She struggled until she developed her own proprietary marketing, operating and dog training systems under her The Dog Wizard brand in 2005. Her perfected business model was a success and her income soared as she added more dog trainers to her business. Gretchen then wanted to offer this superior business model and satisfying lifestyle to other dog lovers wanting their own business and freedom. In the summer of 2013, she launched The Dog Wizard as a franchise system. Learn more at TheDogWizardFranchise.com.
