New Franchise Puts the HEART in Auto Care

Chicago-Based Heart Certified Auto Care Launches National Franchise Opportunity, Targets Midwest Growth Opportunities

March 07, 2018 // Franchising.com // EVANSTON, Ill. - Building on a family legacy that spans more than 90 years, HEART Certified Auto Care is aggressively expanding the company’s expert mechanical care and top-notch customer service across the U.S. through a new, national franchise opportunity.

HEART, which stands for “Helping Everyone Achieve Reliable Transportation,” currently has three locations in the Chicagoland area and is focused on reinventing the auto care industry by over-delivering on customer experience. HEART has a customer retention rate of 95 percent and an approval rating of 99 percent. Customers who visit the Chicago suburban Evanston, Northbrook and Wilmette locations are greeted by friendly staff, comfortable, family-friendly waiting rooms, free loaner cars and shuttle services, among other amenities. Digital inspections show the good and the bad under the hood, and HEART technicians show pictures and videos of any damage found, before walking a customer through a thorough explanation of repair needs.

“Bringing your car in for a repair is often an unpleasant experience and the last thing we want is for a customer to feel vulnerable,” said Brian Moak, Founder & CEO of HEART Certified Auto Care Franchise Corporation. “Our customers are our partners when it comes to how we take care of their cars. We are looking forward to replicating this model and building the HEART brand to create loyal customers across the entire Midwest.”

Moak grew up in the auto care industry, watching and learning from his father, who worked for the Duxler family before buying their Evanston location. Moak worked at his dad’s Duxler Complete Auto Care shop after school and during summers, and even after college. The two expanded the business together to three locations, and by age 27, he bought the business from his dad and has since made the bold decision to change the name and grow the brand through franchising as HEART Certified Auto Care.

With the average age of a car at 11.6 years old, the need for quality auto care is continuing to increase. HEART plans to open 10 new locations over the next two years, specifically targeting Midwest suburbs like Hinsdale, Westmont and Oak Brook in Chicago, and parts of Northwest Indiana and Milwaukee. That number is expected to grow to 100 locations, nation-wide, over the next decade, creating opportunities for service-minded entrepreneurs to make a difference in their own lives and lives of this growing customer base.

“With HEART locations earning more than three times the industry standard’s earnings and the automotive industry booming at $105 billion annually, HEART is at the ground floor of the auto industry’s next big thing,” added Moak.

The total investment for a HEART Certified Auto Care franchise ranges from $301,500 - $763,000. Locations make an average gross profit of $1.3 million annually. The brand is looking to grow in communities near metropolitan areas in the Midwest and nationwide.
