Jamba Juice Re-Energizes Franchise Strategy

Eyes eastward expansion with new franchise partners and new store design

March 20, 2018 // Franchising.com // FRISCO, Texas - For over 25 years, Jamba Juice has been a popular place for Americans craving freshly blended smoothies, juices and other healthful products made with real fruits and vegetables. The brand is now on a mission to inspire and simplify healthy living in even more communities across the country. The category leading smoothie brand is re-energizing its franchise program and looking to expand eastward.

With more than half of Jamba Juice’s nearly 900 stores operating west of the Rocky Mountains, Jamba Juice looks to cover the country in a more balanced way and ultimately expand its presence on the east coast. To achieve that, the company intends to ramp up openings over the next few years to 100 or more new locations each year.

“Over the past few years, we have built out our team and enhanced our capability to support our franchise partners. As a result, we are now in a stronger position for growth than ever before,” said CEO Dave Pace. “We have solid brand presence in the west, but there remains a lot of opportunity for Jamba east of the Rockies, and we’re excited to welcome new franchise partners to help us capture that opportunity and meet the needs of consumers in their communities.”

Jamba Juice is actively seeking both single- and multi-unit franchise partners. New franchise partners will be able to introduce their customers to Jamba Juice’s innovative menu of nutrition-packed, delicious smoothies made with whole fresh fruits, vegetables, vitamins and minerals, fresh juices, wholesome bowls, and better-for-you snacks.

In addition, new partners will have a unique opportunity to be among the first to deploy the concept’s new store design, characterized by new technology, digital menu boards, modern colors and contemporary elements. “It’s a blend of everything our guests already love about Jamba, upgraded with a modern, elevated atmosphere,” added Pace. “By being first to market with our new design, new franchise owners will be at the forefront of a thriving new chapter for the Jamba brand.”

Beyond the new store design, franchise owners are also encouraged to consider Jamba Juice’s new drive-thru format, which creates greater accessibility and convenience, as well as an increase in customer traffic.

“Our iconic brand is a perfect blend of premium product, exceptional in-store experience and enthusiastic team members,” said Loren Bontrager, Jamba Juice’s Director of Franchise Business Development. “We have grown by partnering with like-minded entrepreneurs and we’re continuing to look for individuals driven to build a business that helps people in their communities get on the path towards a healthier, more vibrant life.”

Including a franchise fee of $35,000, the initial investment for a Jamba Juice ranges between $236,100 and $501,800 - lower than the average food franchise investment.

Available territories include: Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas, as well as most of the eastern seaboard from New York down to Florida.
