Franchising Professional Brooks Speirs to Lead CoreLife Eatery’s Western Expansion

Fast Growing Active Lifestyle Restaurant Bolsters Expansion Efforts with Addition of Seasoned Franchising Professional

April 09, 2018 // Franchising.com // CoreLife Eatery, a fast-growing active lifestyle restaurant based in upstate New York, has its eye on the Western United States for expansion. The brand is looking to its new Vice President of Franchise Development, Brooks Speirs, to lead that charge.

Speirs joined CoreLife Eatery in March. He will work closely with CoreLife Eatery’s Senior Vice President of Franchise Development, Steven Corp, to bolster the company’s strategic expansion efforts. It’s been only three short years since CoreLife Eatery opened the doors of its first location in Syracuse, New York and since then, the concept has exploded onto the fast casual restaurant scene. Today, CoreLife Eatery currently has 29 operating restaurants, and is projected to have more than 55 open eateries by the end of 2018. The brand also recently secured major franchising development agreements in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio and Pennsylvania. CoreLife Eatery has an aggressive national growth plan in place that includes both corporate and franchise restaurants.

Speirs comes to CoreLife Eatery with 17 years of experience working in franchise sales and development of leading national chain restaurants. His most recent and notable work was with Moe’s Southwest Grill, where he spent more than four years leading the company’s expansion efforts west of the Mississippi River. During that time, Mr. Speirs helped Moe’s expand from 400 to 700 operating locations. That’s the same level of tremendous growth he plans to help deliver to CoreLife Eatery.

“When it comes to fast casual concepts, CoreLife Eatery is truly a breath of fresh air. When you pair a unique and exciting model with a driven and experienced team to oversee development, there is unlimited potential for growth and success,” Speirs said. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to use my industry experience and my knowledge of the Western United States market to further the advancement of the nation’s next leading brand.”

“Our brand has seen tremendous growth since we began franchising just last year. We’re well on our way to our goal of opening 300 eateries in the next five years, and we need an exceptional team in place to keep up this incredible momentum,” Larry Wilson, CEO of CoreLife Eatery, said. “Mr. Speirs knows and values the importance of fostering rapid expansion while maintaining quality and brand integrity, and I’m confident he will be an asset to the CoreLife Eatery team.”

CoreLife Eatery offers a wide variety of fresh ingredients that are transformed into custom-created dishes. All foods are free of trans fats, artificial colors, sweeteners, other artificial additives and GMO’s. The chicken and steak used are sustainably raised and never given antibiotics or hormones, and the bone broth is slow simmered all day for maximum taste and nutrition. Creating a menu that tastes great because it’s healthy is the secret to CoreLife Eatery’s success.

Led by Wilson, the CoreLife Eatery executive team brings individual successes and skill sets to help the restaurant grow to meet the needs of more communities lacking convenient access to healthy and affordable eating alternatives. CoreLife Eatery plans to expand to 300 locations, including both corporate and franchise restaurants, nationwide over the next five years. For more information, please visit corelifeeatery.com.
