Smile Pizzas Return To The Menu At Pizza 73 In Support Of Local Children’s Hospitals
April 30, 2018 // Franchising.com // EDMONTON, Alta. - From April 23 to May 13, Pizza 73 is offering customers a 9-inch pepperoni Smile Pizza for $5.50 as part of its Slices for Smiles campaign with a portion of proceeds going to local children’s hospitals through Children’s Miracle Network Canada.
“A smile does go a long way,” says Paul Goddard, CEO at Pizza Pizza/Pizza 73. “Like our customers, we realize the tremendous importance of our local children’s hospitals. The work they do makes a huge difference in the lives of so many children in our community and we’re honoured to support them again through our annual Slices for Smiles fundraiser.”
Pizza 73 and its sister brand, Pizza Pizza, have been holding Slices for Smiles fundraising campaigns since 2007 and, to date, the two chains have raised more than $3 million for children’s causes and Children’s Miracle Network hospitals across Canada. The benefitting hospital foundations in Western Canada include Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation in Edmonton, Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation in Calgary, Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation in Saskatoon and BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver. Funds raised in each location go to the nearest Children’s Miracle Network member hospital in that region.
Customers can support the campaign by purchasing a 9-inch pepperoni Smile Pizza at their nearest participating Pizza 73 location in Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Yukon. The Smile Pizza is available as an add-on to any pizza order placed in-store, over the phone, online or via Pizza 73’s mobile ordering app for iPhone and Android. For the duration of the campaign, the company is also inviting customers to top-off their orders with a monetary donation that will be directed in its entirety to CMN.
