Caring Transitions Appoints Company Executive to New Chief Operating Officer

May 01, 2018 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI - Caring Transitions, a Cincinnati-based senior relocation, estate sale, and liquidation company, recently announced the promotion of Al Scobell as new Chief Operating Officer. Scobell’s leadership appointment is coupled with Chris Seman’s new role as Chief Operations Officer of Strategic Franchising, Caring Transitions’ holding company. Seman previously served as Caring Transitions’ president.

Prior to Caring Transitions, Scobell spent 17 years in the franchising world, holding leadership roles at companies such as Yum! Brands, the largest holding company in the restaurant industry, Church’s Chicken and Fazoli’s. Scobell then joined Caring Transitions in spring 2017 as the company’s Vice President of Operations, where he assisted in the future development of the brand, including building training programs and mentoring franchisees on best practices.

“I’ve greatly enjoyed my last year at Caring Transitions and couldn’t be more excited to take the next step as the new Chief Operating Officer,” said Scobell. “I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to utilize my skills in franchising and brand growth to take Caring Transitions to new heights and continuing making a meaningful impact on our customers across the country.”

As the new Chief Operating Officer, Scobell will be tasked with overseeing the company’s overall growth and brand strategy, including the launch of new technology platforms, operational initiatives, marketing plans and franchisee support. Scobell looks forward to aiding the company to grow to over 400 locations over the next five years, expanding the system’s revenue streams and continuing Caring Transitions’ stature as the franchise of choice in the senior relocation industry.

“As the Baby Boomer population continues to grow, Caring Transitions is primed to continue our growth to help seniors and their loved ones make successful transitions,” said Chris Seman, Chief Operations Officer of Strategic Franchising. “Caring Transitions is in excellent hands with Al as the new leader of the company, and I’m excited to see what’s in store for the years to come.”

Caring Transitions has over 200 locations in 40 states and is looking to expand its system through qualified franchisees that have a balance of high business acumen as well as a passion for helping others, especially the elderly.
