Stanton Optical, My Eyelab Innovates Eyecare for Modern Customer

‘Designer Looks Without the Drama’ Campaign Pokes Fun at Overpriced, Complicated Optical Industry

June 13, 2018 // Franchising.com // PALM SPRINGS, Fla. - Vision Precision Holdings, parent company to national leaders in the eye health industry, Stanton Optical and My Eyelab, are working to change the consumer eyewear experience as well as the reputation of the eye care industry as a whole. The recently launched advertising campaign, “Designer Looks Without the Drama” is the first step in the brands’ quest to change the industry’s dull reputation by providing a modern eyecare experience that’s fast, friendly and affordable.

To let the world know about Stanton Optical and My Eyelab’s quest to deliver “Easy Eyecare,” the 98-store retailer has developed a creative campaign that features “Macula” the villain and, megalomaniacal designer of haute couture eyewear.

“Macula is the personification of everything that’s broken and wrong in the optical industry — such as buying overpriced eyeglasses after an archaic, tedious and time-consuming eye exam,” said Daniel Stanton, founder and CEO of Vision Precision Holdings brands, Stanton Optical and My Eyelab. “Much to Macula’s dismay, he knows his reign is coming to an end, due to Stanton Optical and My Eyelab’s innovative eye-care approach.”

This innovative approach includes:

  • Offering frames merchandised by shape, rather than price or brand to make the selection process faster
  • Telemedicine exams to provide more accessibility and speed of eye exam (currently available at all My Eyelab locations and select Stanton Optical locations)
  • Single vision glasses offered in just 15 minutes in select Stanton Optical locations

Additionally, Vision Precision Holdings, parent company to My Eyelab and Stanton Optical, began franchising efforts in 2016, and has seen explosive growth. In 2017, its inaugural year of franchise sales, My Eyelab signed 47 stores. This year, the Florida-based optical-care franchise plans to expand its portfolio in four markets, including Dallas, Atlanta, Gainesville and Miami.

My Eyelab aims to grow in additional markets, bringing its cutting-edge technology and easy eye care to new communities, including in Orlando, Houston, San Antonio, and Harlingen. With the help of qualified franchisees who have the drive and skill set to help spread the company's vision for easy eye care, My Eyelab plans to strategically target nationwide developments through single and multi-unit agreements.

“Just as we believe in providing designer looks without the drama, we believe in franchising without the drama,” said Stanton. “Our recent growth and success is a testament to this approach and we’re excited to partner with our franchisees to bring this vision to life.”
