Salmon No Longer the One That Got Away at Woody’s Bar-B-Q®

Classic Southern Barbecue Chain Adds Chopped Salmon Salad and Grilled Salmon Dinner to its Core Menu

August 10, 2018 // Franchising.com // Jacksonville, Fl. - On the heels of a highly successful performance during a recent limited time offer campaign, Woody’s Bar-B-Q announced today that it is adding the Chopped Salmon Salad to its core menu. After being positively test marketed at a number of key locations, the Grilled Salmon Dinner will also be joining the list of available items at Woody’s Bar-B-Q locations throughout Florida, Georgia, New York, Pennsylvania and Kentucky. Best known for its slow-smoked meats, comfort food sides and original recipe barbecue sauces, Woody’s Bar-B-Q is proud to provide these two new items for a little variety to please its fanbase and entice newcomers.

“Woody’s Bar-B-Q was founded on three central themes – to craft and serve great tasting food, to extend a sense of welcome through inviting atmospheres and the provision of excellent customer service, and to create a family-friendly brand,” said Yolanda Mills-Mawman, President and Co-Founder. “As hard as it is to believe, not EVERYONE is a fan of barbecue. By enhancing our menu with these two Salmon dishes, we are offering something different for our non-barbecue loving patrons, as well as something new for our regular fan base. Our salmon is grilled over a hardwood-based fire to give it added flavor while sealing in the juices. The result is a flavorful dish that’s worthy of the Woody’s Bar-B-Q name. We have something on the menu to please virtually every appetite.”

Having received rave reviews from customers during the limited time offer campaign earlier this year, the Chopped Salmon Salad joins a growing list of LTO menu items that made the cut and became permanent additions to the Woody’s Bar-B-Q core menu. Included among them are the Ultimate Pork Sandwich, Potachos, Cobb Salad and Hawaiian Hamburger. To learn more about Woody’s Bar-B-Q, view the menu, search locations, visit www.woodys.com.

About Woody’s Bar-B-Q®

After opening their first Woody’s Bar-B-Q in 1980, partners Woody Mills and Yolanda Mills-Mawman have spent nearly four decades setting the “bar” higher for classic Southern barbecue. From the humble beginnings of just one location in Jacksonville, Florida, a shared passion for barbecue, and a dog-eared collection of recipes, Mills and Mawman have grown the Woody’s Bar-B-Q brand to locations reaching from the Deep South where barbecue is king to the Northeast and Midwestern fronts. Perhaps best known for their legendary melt-in-your-mouth slow-smoked Signature Baby Back Ribs, Woody’s has also built quite a following among patrons with their secret recipe barbecue sauces and meats, as well as their freshly prepared comfort food-inspired side dishes.
