Conrad New York Appoints Trevor Brune as Director of Catering and Events

September 10, 2018 // Franchising.com // NEW YORK - In partnership with Union Square Events, Conrad New York is pleased to announce the appointment of Trevor Brune to director of catering and events. With more than 12 years of hospitality experience, Brune brings targeted knowledge in event trends and guest relations expertise to lower Manhattan’s only all-suite luxury hotel where he will manage the planning and execution of all operations by Union Square Events, the hotel’s exclusive catering partner.

In his new position, Brune will play an integral role in expanding the team’s training efforts, enhancing and streamlining processes at the two institutions, and ensuring Union Square Events continues to deliver outstanding, personalized service to Conrad New York and its clients.

Most recently, Brune was a Senior Catering Manager at the New York Hilton Midtown for three years, where he was awarded the 2017 Hilton Circle of Excellence for Individual Catering. Before working at Hilton, Brune served as Assistant Director of Catering at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York. Prior to moving to New York City, Brune was at the Sheraton Reston and Westin Reston Heights Hotel in Virginia where he held the title of Complex Director of Catering and Conference Services, after he worked as Director of Catering and Conference Services at DoubleTree by Hilton in Bethesda, Maryland. Brune began his career in hospitality in Salt Lake City where he held the same position for the Salt Lake City Marriott University Park, as well as the position of Catering Sales Manager at the local Hilton hotel.

Brune is a graduate of Utah State University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcast Journalism. In his spare time, Brune is on the Board of Directors for Big Apple Recreational Sports, part of the NACE New York Chapter and a member of New York Young Black Professionals.
