Pirtek Returns As Sponsor Of Snocross Championship Series

November 13, 2018 // Franchising.com // Rockledge, FL, USA - It’s time again for airborne, high-performance snowmobiles and explosive sprays of snow as racers speed around tracks in search of a Snocross national championship. Pirtek is sponsoring Snocross for the fifth consecutive year. The season kicks off the day after Thanksgiving with the Amsoil Snocross National, which will run Nov. 23-25 in Duluth, MN.

Pirtek’s involvement in the competition includes a general sponsorship of the entire Snocross season, a sponsorship of the Hentges Racing Team and a signature Pirtek race. The Pirtek Snocross National Presented by Jimmy Johns is Jan. 4-5 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN.

Pirtek is the only franchise of its kind in the United States, providing hydraulic and industrial hose replacement sales and services. There are 78 Pirtek franchises and a fleet of Mobile Service Vehicles throughout the United States. Globally, Pirtek has more than 400 locations and 2,000 Mobile Service Vehicles in 23 countries.

Snocross is a winter version of motocross, with snowmobiles launching into dramatic jumps during laps. The Ram Trucks Snocross Grand Finale concludes the season on March 15-17 in Lake Geneva, WI.

“It’s always an exciting time for us at Pirtek,” said Georganne DeSeve, Pirtek USA marketing manager. “The fans love coming out to see all the action and the high level of competition. It’s nice to be part of the fun.”

The snowmobiles in the company’s title race will all display prominent Pirtek branding. The sponsorships also entitle Pirtek to video commercials on the track’s screen, on-track signage and various other displays of its branding.

Track groomers that prepare the snow for competition will display Pirtek’s logo during the entire series. Once again, the digital media character “Gary the Groomer” will appear on the Snocross website. Gary also has a presence on social media, including Twitter (@GaryTheGroomer), Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. He will present regular track condition updates on livestream and social media.

Pirtek USA will join longtime sponsor Craig Heitkamp, owner of several Minnesota Pirtek locations, in supporting the Hentges Racing Team this season. Hentges racer Kody Kamm made a strong showing last season, winning two of the three Snocross finale races in Lake Geneva. He also placed second overall in points for the season, with his Hentges teammate Petter Narsa placing fourth.
