SailTime Celebrates Inclusion in Entrepreneur’s 2019 Top 10 Franchise Categories

World’s Leading Boat Membership Franchise Recognized as Top Franchising Option in New Year’s Recreational Business Opportunities

December 07, 2018 // Franchising.com // SailTime, the world’s leading fractional boat membership program, with bases around the United States, Europe and Australia, today announced its inclusion on Entrepreneur magazine’s Top Franchise Categories for 2019. The recognition comes as SailTime celebrates their expansion into their third continent, with new bases in Europe opening in Italy and France.

“This has been a tremendous year for SailTime, as we’ve added terrific new base owners and opened new bases in Europe,” SailTime CEO Todd Hess said. “This is just the latest example of the staying power of the sharing economy and the desire for business owners in the marine industry to add SailTime to their offerings.”

SailTime had another outstanding year, both domestically and internationally. The company welcomed new U.S. franchise base owners in Detroit, Michigan, Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and St. Augustine, Florida. In October, SailTime expanded into Europe with the opening of new bases in Tuscany and Salerno, launching SailTime into a new era of international expansion. With several more bases expected to open in Europe and Asia over the next three years, SailTime expects to solidify their position as the world leader in boat membership franchising.

“We’re just getting started in terms of expansion,” Hess explained. “Recognitions like this one in Entrepreneur magazine just confirm to their readers what we’re preaching every day. Anyone interested in a recreation, marine and sharing economy franchise really needs to give SailTime a hard look.”

Each December, Entrepreneur makes their predictions for the hottest franchise categories in the year ahead by considering the data they’ve collected over the past year. According to their website, they look at the types of businesses that are just beginning to franchise, existing franchises that are experiencing a lot of growth, and rely a bit on their gut. Entrepreneur has covered the franchise industry for more than 40 years, giving them confidence to tell what’s trending.
