West MI BIGGBY® COFFEE Teams Up For Stuff-A-Bus

West Michigan BIGGBY® COFFEE Sponsors Second Annual Stuff-A-Bus

December 19, 2018 // Franchising.com // East Lansing, MI - December 10 through December 14, West Michigan BIGGBY® COFFEE partnered with 104.5 SNX, Meijer, and The Salvation Army of West Michigan to help make children’s dreams come true this holiday season. Between the parking lots of Meijer and BIGGBY® COFFEE in Jenison, Mich., the West Michigan community worked together in support of the second annual Stuff-A-Bus.

Thousands of children throughout the West Michigan community will wake up to receive gifts this holiday season when they would have gone without, thanks to this community banding together in support of those less fortunate. This year, the community reached their goal of stuffing more buses than in 2017. Together, the community stuffed three buses, exceeding their goal of stuff more buses than last year.

The West Michigan community stuffed the buses with new and unwrapped toys, art supplies, bicycles, and so much more for children in need this holiday season. 104.5 SNX hosted the event, broadcasting live and living on the decorated bus throughout the week so community members could donate any time day or night! The Salvation Army of West Michigan found children in need and will deliver the gifts just in time for the holiday. Meijer sponsored the event and donated $5,000 to the station to purchase toys. West Michigan BIGGBY® COFFEE locations helped sponsor the event and also donated $2,500 in toys and gear!

West Michigan BIGGBY® COFFEE baristas, managers, and owner/operators also worked together to support this endeavor within their coffee shops. Participating locations housed donation boxes for people to drop toys off for Stuff-A-Bus Friday, November 23 through Thursday, December 13. Those that couldn’t make it out to the buses were still able to participate in their favorite BIGGBY® COFFEE locations.

From a local to corporate level, BIGGBY® COFFEE values supporting people in building lives they love. The locally owned and operated BIGGBY® COFFEE locations appreciated the opportunity to give back to community members that support their small businesses.

About BIGGBY® COFFEE

BIGGBY® COFFEE, East Lansing, Mich.-based, was started with a single store on March 15, 1995. One year later, and on the cusp of opening a second location, Bob Fish and Michael McFall, on a handshake and $4,000, decided to franchise the concept. BIGGBY® COFFEE’s cultural values of Make Friends, Have Fun, B Yourself, and Share Great Coffee help coffee-lovers and the coffee-curious alike benefit from a less pretentious and fun approach to the standard gourmet cafe paradigm. Besides connoisseur-worthy drinks with pronounceable names like Teddy Bear® and Caramel Marvel®, BIGGBY® baristas provide a unique experience focused on brightening their customer’s day and supporting them in building a life they love. The “Big ‘B’” on the orange background caught on, and today BIGGBY® COFFEE has 277 cafes open or under contract across ten states including: Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Florida, Texas, and New Jersey. In 2018, BIGGBY® launched an Area Representative Program and currently has 8 area representatives in 6 states.
