The Camp Transformation Center Soars To New Heights On Entrepreneur Magazine’s 40th Annual Franchise 500® List

Fitness Franchise Ranked #458 in the Fitness Business Category

January 30, 2019 // Franchising.com // CHINO HILLS, Calif. - The Camp Transformation Center announced today that it has been named to Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500® list, considered the world’s first, best and most comprehensive franchise ranking. The Camp has been rated number 458 in the personal care section in the “fitness business” category.

The prestigious award validates the progress the company has made in the past year. In 2018, the brand added 14 new locations bringing the total to 107 units plus 49 more coming soon to communities throughout the United States.

“We are honored to receive this ranking,” said Alejandra Font, co-founder of The Camp. "We look forward to building upon this growth in 2019, as we form new relationships, expand into new markets and offer our existing franchisees continued support.”

The key factors that go into Entrepreneur’s evaluation include costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. All franchises are given a cumulative score based on more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500® in ranking order.

“As we celebrate 40 years of producing the Franchise 500, it’s a good opportunity to step back and look at how much has changed since that first ranking in 1980,” says Jason Feifer, editor in chief of Entrepreneur. “While the franchise business model has changed little, the strongest franchise brands are constantly evolving and innovating to keep up with changing trends and technology.”

The Camp blends a positive group training setting with dynamic interval workouts, nutrition and supplement plans and highly qualified trainers. Franchisees drive membership through seven annual challenges. Successful challengers most often endear themselves to The Camp and become long-term members.

Entrepreneurially spirited individuals interested in owning The Camp Transformation Center franchise should have the ability to invest with a start up cost ranging from $167,000 - $326,500, which includes working capital and a typical franchise fee of $40,000.

Over its 40 years in existence, the Franchise 500® has become both a dominant competitive measure for franchisors and a primary research tool for potential franchisees. The Camp’s position on the ranking is a testament to its strength as a franchise opportunity.
