Local Franchisees Awarded Franchisee of the Year at Annual Convention

February 07, 2019 // Franchising.com // WACO, Texas - Two local Austin franchisees were awarded Franchisee of the Year by franchisor Restoration 1®, one of the fastest-growing and most-trusted restoration franchises in North America. Franky Burciaga and Alfonso Masso, both of Central Texas, accepted the award at the annual convention in Las Vegas, NV.

Burciaga and Masso, both graduates of Baylor University in Waco, where Restoration 1® is headquartered, went straight from graduation to buying their own franchise. After securing loans from friends and family, the two opened their Austin franchise in 2017.

“Graduation arrived and we started asking ourselves what was next?” said Burciaga, who studied business and entrepreneurship at Baylor University. “We didn’t want to give up on our entrepreneurial dreams, but at the same time, becoming franchisees fresh out of college was incredibly risky.”

Just a few years later, Burciaga and Masso have purchased a second truck and continue to expand their franchise across Austin and Central Texas. In addition to their Franchise of the Year award, they joined the Million Dollar Club, which honors franchisees who reported over $1 million in collected revenues during 2018.
