Former Mechanical Engineer Shares Love for Learning with the Auburn Hills Community

Kumon Math and Reading Center of Auburn Hills - North Now Taking Enrollments

June 06, 2019 // Franchising.com // AUBURN HILLS, Mich.- Dulal Mostafa has deep-seeded roots in the education world and has proven a love for learning even extends beyond borders. Mostafa’s story begins in Indiana as an ambitious graduate with a M.A. in Engineering Management - where he quickly grew his career in a short amount of time. After experiencing success in his role as director of computer integrated manufacturing at Purdue University, he was offered a teaching opportunity from World Bank to work with the Malaysian Ministry of Education. Mostafa took over a 9,000-mile journey overseas from Indiana to Malaysia to spread his knowledge on young students enrolled at the University Technology Malaysia - unveiling his passion for teaching young students. Upon his return to the U.S., Mostafa was introduced to Kumon when he was seeking out enrichment programs for his young children. With his intense background in education, he was immediately drawn to the benefits of the Kumon Program and the rich foundation it provided his children. Wanting to expand the reach of Kumon to the Auburn Hills community, he explored the opportunity of opening his own franchise. Now, Mostafa is the proud owner of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Auburn Hills - North.

“The Kumon Method provides children with a routine of daily study, where they not only increase their speed and accuracy, but gain confidence as well,” said Mostafa, owner and Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Auburn Hills - North. “Kumon students become motivated to explore other subjects and further advance their studies.”

The Kumon Method empowers preschool to high school aged children to become self-learners and is designed to advance math and reading skills while fostering a love for learning. It goes beyond traditional tutoring by actively developing critical thinking skills as children progress independently through a carefully crafted curriculum.

“I want to create “star students” in my center, where they discover their potential and achieve things that were once thought as impossible,” said Mostafa. “By elevating the educational experience for my students, I am able to provide them the tools necessary to excel in their academics.”

Kumon sparks critical thinking, establishes a pattern of success and builds confidence that can lead to accelerated learning throughout life. Learn more about the Kumon Method today.
