World’s Largest Hot Dog Chain Celebrates Namesake Holiday with Freebie on Monday, September 9th

Smothered in the brand’s world-famous chili, a secret recipe that’s kept under lock and key, Wienerschnitzel’s original chili dog has been a staple on the menu since 1961. Company founder, John Galardi wanted the name of his new hot dog concept to be memorable instead of something like, “John’s Hot Dogs.” Ironically enough, it was the wife of Glenn Bell (founder of Taco Bell) that suggested “Wienerschnitzel” while she was flipping through a cookbook; and John thought it was just crazy enough to work! Today, Wienerschnitzel has grown to be the world’s largest hot dog chain with more than 340 locations throughout the U.S.!

Free Original Chili Dog with purchase is valid only on Monday, September 9, at participating Wienerschnitzel locations. Online coupon must be presented at register; both printed and digital coupons will be accepted. Each coupon is good for one free Original Chili Dog with purchase. Cheese and tax are extra.
