theCoderSchool Coming to Glastonbury

Silicon Valley-based children’s coding franchise set to open second Connecticut location

September 05, 2019 // Franchising.com // Palo Alto, CA - theCoderSchool – whose motto is “Learn to code. Change the world.” – is continuing their Connecticut expansion. The school – which aims to show the next generation of kids how inspiring and exciting technology can be – is set to open in Glastonbury on September 14.

Located at 39 New London Turnpike in Glastonbury, CT, the new school will be owned and operated by husband and wife duo Vaishali and Chirayu Shah, who opened the Farmington location last fall.

“We are thrilled to continue driving the mission of theCoderSchool in Connecticut,” said Vaishali. “We are excited to give back to the community by empowering children to go to new heights mentally and creatively. Through theCoderSchool’s 2-on-1 approach to teaching and project-based, customized curriculum, we look forward to getting kids coding at an early age.”

“Being a Glastonbury High School graduate, it is very rewarding to be opening up our second location in Glastonbury,” said Chirayu. “We plan to be very much involved in the community, and I look forward to re-living all of the great memories I have and adding onto them now as a local business owner.”

Chirayu currently works as a project manager at ESPN, and Vaishali oversees the operations of the Farmington location, which she will continue at the new school in the fall. Before the couple opened theCoderSchool, Vaishali worked in healthcare for twelve years as a Radiation Therapist and found a love for teaching when teaching Radiation Therapy to college students.

Founded by Hansel Lynn and incubated with the help of his best friend, Wayne Teng, theCoderSchool was built with the desire to provide children aged 7 to 18 years with a welcoming environment to develop computer programming skills. theCoderSchool uses a variety of platforms to teach various coding languages, such as HTML, CSS, Python, Javascript and more. Every Code Coaching lesson is customized with the help of experienced Code Coaches® who use a 2-on-1 approach to teaching.
