East Georgia DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen Wins Two Top Design Awards

September 10, 2019 // Franchising.com // DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen of East Georgia has won two of the company’s Dream Awards for best renovation designs in 2019 - one for a rustic farmhouse-style residential kitchen, and the other for master bath with a problematic sloped ceiling.

The Swainsboro, Georgia, franchise is one of 35 franchise locations across the U.S. A family affair, it is independently owned and operated by Eric, David and Leesa Anderson. They opened the franchise in June 2016, but have owned and operated Anderson Homes, Inc., in the Swainsboro area, since early 2000.

The awards were presented in late June at DreamMaker Bath & Kitchen’s annual conference in Waco, Texas. Winners are selected by an impartial panel of industry-expert judges, and entrants are judged on functionality, problem solving, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and project presentation.

For the kitchen makeover, Eric says the clients wanted to keep the existing layout but replace the center island with a “farmhouse” table. The renovation also included refacing the cabinetry for a more modern look and modifications to accommodate a new oven and over-the-range micro-hood.

“The kitchen functioned well, but needed a whole new look. The farmhouse table made the kitchen feel more open and completed the look the client wanted.”

The other award was for an upstairs master bath done in Carrara marble.

“It had been a source of frustration to the homeowners for many years,” says Leesa. “They hated the low, sloping ceiling over the tub/shower and vanity area and wanted it to have a pull-out organizer. Turning the shower 90 degrees from its original orientation was the solution.
