Woody’s Bar-B-Q® Hops on the Bite-Sized Bandwagon with Southern Sliders

Classic Southern BBQ Franchise Company Premieres Trio of Small Sandwiches for a Limited Time

September 30, 2019 // Franchising.com // Jacksonville, Fl. - In a nation that has embraced the concept of tiny houses and technology that can fit on the face of a watch, classic Southern BBQ chain - Woody’s Bar-B-Q - has a small, but mighty debut of its own. Beginning October 1 and running throughout the month of November, participating Woody’s Bar-B-Q locations will premiere a tantalizing trio of Southern Sliders. Whether patrons want a little snack or a full meal, these limited time only sandwiches will be available a la carte or combined in a dinner of three sliders with the choice of one side.

“Over the course of the past year, two of our limited time offers featured a handheld aspect that was met with a great response from customers,” said Yolanda Mills-Mawman, President and Co-Founder of Woody’s Bar-B-Q. “Sometimes handheld menu items perform better for a quick bite or people on the go. We rolled out tacos in December 2017 but brought them back last month due to customer demand. We also grilled up two new burgers in May and customers literally ate them up. We know from experience how well the sandwiches on our menu - like the Carolina Pulled Pork and Sloppy Woody - perform year-after-year, as well. So, with the sliders, we wanted to offer something for customers that they could enjoy either as a snack or as a full meal. And with football season in full swing, they make a great addition to tailgate parties or a post-game bite. Served alongside our crinkle cut fries or any other side on our menu, they make a great meal. Guests can order three of their personal favorite slider variation or a combination of all three sliders we offer.”

Patrons can enjoy the following Southern Sliders at participating Woody’s Bar-B-Q locations for a limited time:

  • Bite Size Brisket: Stacked between two slider buns are heaping helpings of our chopped Texas Beef Brisket and creamy cole slaw along with a dollop of mustard and two perfectly placed pickles. This savory slider bites back!
  • Backyard Pork: Showcasing that smoky backyard BBQ flavor that put Woody’s on the map, this slider features a generous portion of our chopped pork topped with melted cheddar cheese, drizzled with our Southern Sweet Sauce for the perfect finish. This little piggy aims to please!
  • Mini Burger: This all-American crowd-pleaser presents a mini black angus cheeseburger atop a slice of tomato, pickle, crisp piece of lettuce and a dollop of mustard - sandwiched between two supremely soft slider buns. It may be small in size, but it’s big on flavor!
