G-FORCE™ Lands New Location to Serve Northern Alabama

The country’s first franchise exclusively for veterans opens in Anniston

October 22, 2019 // Franchising.com // BEDFORD, N.H. - G-FORCE™, a pavement marking and parking lot striping franchise that is the first to exclusively award franchises to United States Veterans, has opened in Anniston, Ala. The new business will primarily serve major cities like Birmingham and Huntsville as well as the communities in Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Cleburne, Cullman, Dekalb, Etowah, Jackson, Jefferson, Madison, Marshal, Morgan, St Clair, Talladega and Tuscaloosa Counties.

Opened in September 2019, the business is owned and operated by Rob Young, a local to the area. After his father served in Vietnam, Young followed in his footsteps into military service. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy who previously served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He also served in the U.S. Army Reserves. After his service, Young worked in the automotive and insurance industries and ultimately landed at Anniston Army Depot as a machinist.

“After seeing a TV segment about G-FORCE last November, I knew it was the perfect opportunity for me to go into business for myself,” Young said. “Working with the corporate team has been a dream; they’ve been with me every step of the way as I’ve gotten my G-FORCE location off the ground. I’m exciting to see the positive impact we can bring to every community we serve.”

Founded in 2017 and franchising since 2018, G-FORCE prides itself as the go-to resource for all things line striping and pavement marking – New Layout, Re-Stripe, ADA Compliance, Stencil Markings, Warehouse Markings, Parking Structure Markings, Outdoor Basketball Courts, Athletic Field Markings and more. G-FORCE also does parking lot sign installation, and partners with other contractors to provide other pavement services such as sealcoating, asphalt repairs, paving and power washing.

“With attention-grabbing, distinctive camouflage trucks and service trailers, state-of-the-art equipment and military-influenced logo and uniforms, G-FORCE has built its brand around today’s Veteran,” Young added. “I’m proud to use my life experience to help my employees learn and grow throughout their career with us.”

The brand is also the first in the country to offer veteran-exclusive franchise opportunities and continues to be a champion of supporting veterans as they return from duty. According to G-FORCE founder Jack Child, himself a more than 10-year veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces, there are more resources and assistance programs than ever before to help Veterans face the many challenges they face returning to civilian life. “There’s always more that can and should be done. We want to do our part,” he said. “Veterans like Rob have the best leadership training in the world. In addition to coming from an integrity-focused background, they are mission-oriented and have a call to fulfill a higher purpose – all traits needed to run a successful business.”
