theCoderSchool to Open Second Florida Location

Silicon Valley-based coding school headed for Sarasota

November 19, 2019 // Franchising.com // Palo Alto, Calif. - theCoderSchool - whose motto is “Learn to code. Change the world.” - is set to open its first Sarasota area location. The center - which aims to show the next generation of kids how inspiring and exciting technology can be - plans to open its doors next month.

The new school is located at 6293 Lake Osprey Drive in the Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton triangle. It is owned and operated by Allyson and Peter Christinzio, John Meade and Christine DelaRionda. The two couples are family and now business partners with the Christinzio leading the charge for the Sarasota location.

theCoderSchool Sarasota is offering an early bird special for students and families who are eager to get involved. The early classes will be held at the EVEN Hotel, which is located at 6231 Lake Osprey Dr. Those who enroll early will receive discounted classes as well as a Grand Opening discount of 40% off the first month, after the Grand Opening ceremony.

“We couldn’t be more excited about bringing theCoderSchool to our community,” Allyson said. “We know the positive impact learning to code can have on students and families, and we believe in theCoderSchool’s mission of giving kids the opportunity to learn valuable skills while allowing them to create their projects and become self-starters.”

The Christinzio’s are originally from the Philadelphia area and moved with their sons to Sarasota in 2007. Peter, a software developer for 20 years, wanted to pass down his knowledge to his sons but found it was challenging to take on the task himself. The couple researched coding schools and couldn’t find what they were looking for in their area. They considered starting their own school, but instead found theCoderSchool and reached out to their family to get involved.

“It was a no brainer once we found theCoderSchool,” Peter added. “The way the brand approaches the process of teaching and learning is very much in line with what we believe is best for learning. By building curriculum around the individual student, the students can branch out into any technology that they find interesting without having to follow a one size fits all, linear progression.”

Founded by Hansel Lynn and incubated with the help of his best friend, Wayne Teng, theCoderSchool was built with the desire to provide children aged 7 to 18 years with a welcoming environment to develop computer programming skills. theCoderSchool uses a variety of platforms to teach various coding languages, such as HTML, CSS, Python, Javascript and more. Every Code Coaching lesson is customized with the help of trained Code Coaches® who use a 2-on-1 approach to teaching.

“As we continue to expand our presence throughout the country, it’s critical to find the right franchise partners who are truly passionate about setting kids up with a positive, life-long relationship with technology and coding,” added Lynn. “This is why we couldn’t be more excited about our partnership with Allyson, Peter, John and Christine. They are passionate about our mission, and we are confident the new community will see just how fun learning to code can be.”
