Intero Promotes Julia Cocchi to Lead the Los Gatos Office and Hires Cathy Scharetg to Lead the San Francisco Office

Cocchi takes over for Stephen Slater, who is rejoining his wife, Gail Thomson, in running their successful real estate business in Los Gatos. Scharetg takes the reigns in San Francisco.

CUPERTINO, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - November 20, 2019 - Intero, a Berkshire Hathaway affiliate and wholly owned subsidiary of HomeServices of America, Inc., is proud to announce the promotion of Julia Cocchi as the Vice President and Managing Officer of the Los Gatos office and the hiring of Cathy Scharetg as the Vice President and Managing Officer of the San Francisco office.

A real estate veteran, Cocchi’s career spans more than 21 years where she has taken on roles in both real estate sales and management. Most recently, Julia was with Intero Willow Glen in the role of Assistant Sales Manager. Her duties included coaching and mentoring new and up-and-coming agents, as well as listing and selling real estate. Prior to that, she was a CEO, Team Leader, Manager and REALTOR® for several national real estate brands including Keller Williams, Coldwell Banker and Better Homes & Gardens in both California and Nevada.

Scharetg started her real estate career in San Francisco in 1998. Within a year she had elevated her sales production to a level that placed her in the top 10% of all San Francisco agents. But in 2001, her desire to lead and teach steered her in the direction of management. Over the next several years, Scharetg took on various sales manager roles with established real estate brands including Prudential California Realty, Pacific Union and Coldwell Banker. Scharetg has also been very involved with REALTOR® Associations at both the local and state level.
