DoubleTree by Hilton Celebrates National Cookie Day with Free Chocolate Chip Cookies Across the U.S.

On Dec. 4, the brand invites guests and non-guests alike to enjoy one of its famous, out-of-this-world cookies at any U.S. DoubleTree by Hilton location

December 02, 2019 // Franchising.com // MCLEAN, Va. - This week just got a whole lot sweeter. For the fourth year, DoubleTree by Hilton will extend a warm welcome to cookie lovers across the country on National Cookie Day by offering a free, famous DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie to anyone who stops by one of the more than 350 U.S. DoubleTree by Hilton hotels on Dec. 4.

The beloved chocolate chip cookie reached new heights last month, as it launched for the International Space Station to become the first food ever baked in space. While hotel guests can enjoy these same sweet treats on Earth any time of the year, the brand welcomes everyone to enjoy a warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie treat in celebration of the delicious holiday.

“National Cookie Day is one of our favorite holidays and, each year, we look forward to inviting guests and cookie lovers across the country to stop in one of our U.S. hotels to enjoy a complimentary chocolate chip cookie,” said Shawn McAteer, senior vice president and global head, DoubleTree by Hilton. “Sharing our warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie is a simple gesture to ensure our guests feel at home - no matter where they are - this holiday season.”

Offering a warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie at check-in has become synonymous with the brand’s commitment to providing guests with a warm welcome and comfortable stay. For more than 30 years, the cookie has played a starring role in differentiating the brand’s hospitality from its competitors. To date, DoubleTree by Hilton has given out more than 472 million chocolate chip cookies, with each mouthwatering cookie containing 30 chocolate chips on average.

Fans of the brand can celebrate National Cookie Day by tagging @DoubleTree and using the hashtag #SweetWelcome on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Consumers can also purchase collectible holiday cookie tins, which make the perfect sweet gift this season, at www.doubletreecookies.com, and check out the brand’s own cookie pairings guide.
