Duck Donuts® Opens its First Nontraditional Mall Location in The Mall at Tuttle Crossing

Store Opening Marks Fourth Location for Franchise Owners, Sixth in Ohio

December 05, 2019 // Franchising.com // MECHANICSBURG, PA - Duck Donuts, known for serving Warm, Delicious and Made To Order!® donuts announced today its delivering the gift of Duck Donuts this holiday with the recent grand opening of its first nontraditional franchise mall location, inside The Mall at Tuttle Crossing in Dublin, Ohio. Owned by Krista Sparks, Brad Hobbs, Kevin Burns and Darren Shutler, the store is located at 5034 Tuttle Crossing Boulevard, near the Food Court, and is now open for business.

“We are excited to join The Mall at Tuttle Crossing team, allowing us the opportunity to offer a unique treat for shoppers,” said Hobbs. “As our third store in the market, Columbus has been a wonderful and supportive community that we will continue to grow within.”

In addition to donuts, Duck Donuts will serve its signature coffee blends - Riptide Roast, Light House Blend, and Sunset Pier Decaf, espresso drinks, donut breakfast sandwiches, donut sundaes, and new menu items including frozen beverages and milkshakes.

Duck Donuts specializes in warm, delicious, and made-to-order donuts. Customers can create their own donut combination by choosing from a variety of coatings, toppings, and drizzles, including traditional favorites such as chocolate icing with sprinkles and more adventurous creations such as maple icing with bacon. The family-friendly stores offer a viewing area where children and adults alike can watch their donuts being made. Duck Donuts also sells coffee, tea, donut breakfast sandwiches and now offers online ordering in many locations. Duck Donuts was founded in 2006 by Russ DiGilio in Duck, North Carolina. His intention? To solve a family vacation problem: “Our family wanted a place to buy warm, delicious, made-to-order donuts, and when we couldn’t find one, we decided to start our own.”
