The Former Teacher Joins Her Mother as a Kumon Instructor in the Coppell Community

January 07, 2020 // Franchising.com // COPPELL, Texas - Lipi Singh has always had her eye on the prize of paving her own path in life. As the Chief Assistant at her mother’s Kumon Center for years, there was no doubt in her mind that she had a passion for educating. In addition to working there, she was also a longtime Kumon student, and even completed the Kumon Reading Program before heading off to college. Although she missed working with her community at her mother’s center after four years away at school, she couldn’t fight the itch to see what else was out there. So, after graduating with a dual bachelor’s degree, Lipi worked in the corporate world for several years. She enjoyed being out on her own, but realized she was not getting the satisfaction of helping children like she did at her mother’s center. She decided it was time to start giving back to the community that raised her and joined her mother in providing supplemental education to Coppell area families. As the Instructor of Kumon Math and Reading Center of Coppell – East, Lipi hopes to make a difference in students’ lives the same way Kumon did for her own.

“My mother has always been my biggest mentor growing up, and because of her, I knew that I wanted to have my own business but still make an impact on the community – and Kumon is the perfect fusion of that,” said Lipi Singh, Instructor of Kumon of Coppell – East. “To learn concepts years above grade level independently is a miraculous skill in itself, and I look forward to fostering that ability at my center.”

When Lipi made the decision to open her own center and to join her mother as a Kumon Instructor, she was met with extensive support.
