Local In-home Senior Care Company Anticipates 50 New Jobs for Area Residents

March 05, 2020 // Franchising.com // Bakersfield, CA - Senior Helpers®, one of the nation’s premier providers of personalized in-home senior care, today announced the official opening of its Bakersfield location, to be managed and operated by Eddie and Michelle Taylor. The new franchise will serve senior citizens and their families throughout the Western Kern County area, which spans Bakersfield, Buttonwillow, Delano, Fellows, Frazier Park, Glennville, Lamon, Lebec, McFarland, McKittrick, Shafer, Taft, Wasco, Wofford Heights and Woody counties. Senior Helpers of Bakersfield hopes to bring 50 new jobs to the region over the next year. Senior Helpers’ professionally trained caregivers will help local seniors continue to enjoy the comfort of their own home despite age-related illnesses and mobility challenges.

“Like many individuals with aging parents, we served as primary caregivers as our parents grew older and are well aware of the emotional and financial burden this process entails,” said Eddie Taylor. “We now want to share Senior Helpers’ specialized caregiving services with members of our community who may need extra assistance. Our team looks forward to being a valuable resource to local seniors and their families by offering personalized and affordable, in-home senior care.”

Senior Helpers operates with a vision to be the leading home care company in each community it serves. Its caregivers in Bakersfield are trained to offer the highest level of care possible based on the company’s Senior Gems® Alzheimer’s and Dementia care program. As the gold standard for excellence in personalized in-home senior care, the program was developed in conjunction with nationally recognized dementia care expert Teepa Snow, Positive Approach, LLC. Local residents will also benefit from the company’s Parkinson’s Care Program, a specialized training program for their caregivers created in conjunction with leading experts from the Parkinson’s Foundation’s Centers of Excellence network.

“We’re pleased to welcome Eddie and Michelle to our team as the newest Senior Helpers franchise owners,” said Peter Ross, chief executive officer, Senior Helpers. “Both bring a passion for their community and an understanding of the importance of in-home senior care to their new roles. This will serve them well and will be rewarding for families living in Bakersfield and the surrounding area.”
