Oxi Fresh Expands in Georgia

Eco-friendly carpet cleaning franchise opening new location that will service six counties in southern Georgia.

June 15, 2020 // Franchising.com // LAKEWOOD, Colo. – Oxi Fresh Carpet Cleaning, one of the nation’s greenest carpet-cleaning franchises, is opening its newest location on St. Simons Island. The location, owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Brent and Lauren Bailey, is slated to begin providing cleaning services to their community on July 1. This franchise will service cities throughout Camden, Glynn, McIntosh, Liberty, Long, and Bryan counties.

“As former business owners, we were looking for our next opportunity and we felt that joining a successful brand like Oxi Fresh was the best option,” Brent stated. “Oxi Fresh provides a quality, green service that is more important than ever. We wanted to help our community by providing them with an option for eco-friendly and effective carpet cleaning.”

Prior to becoming an Oxi Fresh franchisee, Brent was the manager and eventual co-owner of a family business that designed and manufactured children’s clothes. He served in these roles for 14 years, helping the business grow through wholesale, retail and online sales channels. After leaving the company in 2018, he began looking for his next business opportunity. His search eventually led to Oxi Fresh.

“Oxi Fresh’s unique carpet cleaning process has helped it become one of the leading names in the carpet cleaning industry, and I knew it was something I wanted to be a part of,” Brent said. “Now more than ever before, Oxi Fresh’s services are absolutely vital to keep homes cleaner and safer. I wanted to be able to provide that service for my community. I cannot wait to begin serving St. Simons Island and the surrounding areas.”

Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, Oxi Fresh has been providing important services, such as their carpet sanitizing service that kills odor-causing bacteria and their hospital-grade, hard surface disinfectant that meets the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the cause of Covid-19. Additionally, Oxi Fresh operators are required to follow social distancing guidelines, wear personal protective equipment, and follow the CDC’s recommendations regarding hygiene and cleanliness.

Oxi Fresh has been a staple in the carpet cleaning industry since its inception in 2006. The brand’s oxygenated cleaning process requires roughly two gallons of water to clean a home, while traditional steam cleaners use 40-60 gallons. Oxi Fresh’s process also allows carpets to dry in about an hour, which is far less than the 12-24 or more hours that other cleaners require. The brand estimates that its cleaning method has saved the planet tens of millions of gallons of water.

“Dedicated franchisees like Brent who believe in our mission to provide a high quality, eco-friendly carpet cleaning service to our customers make Oxi Fresh special,” stated Oxi Fresh CEO and founder Jonathan Barnett. “We are proud to welcome Brent to the Oxi Fresh family and look forward to see the impact he’ll make in his community.”
