Metal Supermarkets Opens Newest Store in San Diego, California

Second Store in California and 100th Location of Premier Metal Supply Franchise

September 30, 2020 // Franchising.com // San Diego, CA - Metal Supermarkets, the world’s largest supplier of small-quantity metals, will open its 100th store at 1520 Corporate Center Drive in San Diego on Monday, October 5. Metal Supermarkets San Diego (South) offers customers instant access to any metal, cut to size and ready fast, with delivery and on-site pickup options available.

In addition to this being Metal Supermarkets’ landmark 100th store, the San Diego location will be the 69th store in the United States and the second in California. Metal Supermarkets also has 24 stores in Canada and seven in the United Kingdom.

Metal Supermarkets serves a wide range of customers across numerous industries, including tool and die shops, manufacturers, maintenance managers, fabricators, machine shops, contractors, construction companies, military, education and other government departments, as well as hobbyists, artists, and homeowners. The new store will be owned by Maria Montalvo, who was born and raised in the San Diego area and has a professional accounting background in a family-owned machine shop. The new San Diego (South) store is next to the intersection of I-805 and CA-905, and several miles from the San Ysidro Port of Entry, one of the busiest land border crossings in the world. Its positioning near major domestic and international thoroughfares primes Metal Supermarkets San Diego for a strong debut within the immediate market.

The new store will be open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
