Engel & Völkers Continues Northeast Florida Expansion with New Shop on Amelia Island

AMELIA ISLAND, FLA. (PRWEB) November 16, 2020 - Engel & Völkers Florida today announced its latest franchise expansion in Northeast Florida with Engel & Völkers Amelia Island; marking the brand’s fifth location in the Northeast Florida region and 32nd in the state. Local market expert, Corey Hasting, acquired the territory as part of his regional growth strategy. Hasting is already the owner of Engel & Völkers Jacksonville with locations in St. Johns and Jacksonville Beach. Engel & Völkers Amelia Island is slated to open in 2022.

“We couldn’t be more excited about acquiring Amelia Island,” said Hasting. “This will allow us to continue growing our footprint in the Northeast Florida market. The high-end lifestyle of Amelia Island has always made it a desirable destination for us and we are thrilled to finally have that area inside our already thriving network.”

Prior to partnering with Engel & Völkers to open his first brokerage, Hasting consistently ranked among the top residential real estate agents of Northeast Florida and was awarded numerous accolades while previously with Keller Williams Realty. He has since grown his local presence with two Engel & Völkers brokerages, located in St. Johns and Jacksonville Beach. Hasting’s team comprises 40 active advisors, who will close nearly $300 million in sales through 750 transactions in 2020, and currently has an inventory of over 100 listings.

“We are thrilled to expand our presence in Northeast Florida with Corey,” said Peter Giese, Chief Growth Officer at Engel & Völkers Florida. “Our core focus is on expanding into new markets throughout Florida with industry leaders who have demonstrated impressive achievements. We are delighted by Corey’s performance with his first two shops and look forward to working alongside him on his next venture in Amelia Island.”

Amelia Island, the northernmost barrier island on Florida's Atlantic coast, is edged with natural Appalachian quartz beaches and framed by sand dunes as tall as 40 feet. The communities of Fernandina Beach, Amelia City, and American Beach make up the island and is home to an irresistible mix of luxury spas, world-class golf, distinctive dining, unique shopping and an amazing array of leisure activities. Amelia Island is consistently ranked among the best of the best by industry authorities, including, number six of the top 15 islands in the United States, Travel and Leisure’s 2020 World’s Best Living, 2020, and Top Ten Most Romantic Destinations in Florida by Coastal Living, 2018.

“Amelia Island will make a wonderful addition to our ever-growing network,” said Timo Khammash, Managing Partner of Engel & Völkers Florida. “Rich with history, Amelia Island is known for pristine, uncrowded beaches, world-class golf, spas and dining. Amelia Island has a thriving real estate market, as evident by local home values having gone up more than five percent over the past year and predictions indicating an additional nearly seven percent rise in the next year.
