Gyroville 2021 Expansion Plans Focuses on Multi-Unit Operators to Become Area Developers

Experienced multi-unit operators sought for latest round of expansion

December 04, 2020 // Franchising.com // Fort Lauderdale, FL. - Gyroville plans to focus expansion plans on multi-unit operators with a high level of experience during the upcoming year. The company’s objective is to identify 3-4 individuals that are looking to join our brand and eventually become Area Developers. An Area Developer is a franchisee who has the right to expand a region by either appointing sub-franchisees or managed outlets. Area Developers have the opportunity to raise brand awareness rapidly in a pre-determined area.

“We believe that by focusing on experienced operators we will see exponential growth in our brand,” said Lambros Kokkinelis, founder and CEO of Gyroville. He envisions “these franchisees opening and operating an initial location to gain the necessary experience to propel themselves to the next phase of the plan.” As an Area Developer, these franchisees would recruit, train and support sub-franchisees in the defined area.

Mr. Kokkinelis says the benefit of becoming an Area Developer is “the opportunity to receive a percentage of the ongoing royalty stream from the franchisees within the defined area. We would also offer the Area Developer a portion of the franchise fee for each location sold within their area.”

Gyroville seeks these multi-unit operators/Area Developers prepared to bring the brand to new markets, targeting the Southeastern part of the country, as well as the Midwest and Texas. The company expects to sign 3-4 Area Developers in the first quarter of 2021. This will result in an additional 10 locations on pace to open by the end of next year.

“We have spent most of 2020 adapting to the changes in our business. We see smaller footprints in our future as well as this continued focus on take-out and delivery. Gyroville has been tweaking it's system in order to operate more efficiently by managing the menu as well as controlling labor.” said Mr. Kokkinelis. The goal of Gyroville continues to be to figure out ways to control expenses of it's franchisees in this changing restaurant environment. Gyroville feels they are well positioned for growth as a brand during and after the current pandemic.
