Goodcents Launches Certified Clean Program To Protect Guests and Team Members

December 08, 2020 // Franchising.com // DE SOTO, Kan. - Goodcents has announced that it will equip every restaurant in its franchise system with a no-contact temperature check device and disinfection program by late January 2021 for the safety of guests and crew members.

The Goodcents Certified Clean Program will include installation of a ThermoVu™ no-contact temperature check device by the door to every location to be used by all crew members and available for guests. Every Goodcents restaurant also will be equipped with an electrostatic sprayer and Shield Disinfectant Sanitizer™ products. Shield products are made in the USA, approved by the Environmental Protection Agency and food-safe.

Electrostatic sprayers, which are used mostly by commercial cleaning companies, disinfect common areas, personal spaces and hard-to-reach corners and crevices. They are considered vital in the fight against COVID-19, flu and other respiratory illnesses.

Farrellynn Wolf, CEO of Goodcents, said the new Certified Clean Program provides guests and team members with peace of mind. “We have always prioritized the safety of our guests and team, but it’s more important than ever to let them know that they can visit their neighborhood Goodcents with full confidence in the cleanliness of our restaurants and the good health of our team and their fellow guests,” she said. “The Certified Clean Program sign on the door signals that we are committed to taking every precaution to keep our guests, team members and community healthy while serving the same great food we expect from Goodcents.”

The Certified Clean Program is the most recent example of how Goodcents is adapting to keep its guests and team members safe during the ongoing pandemic. Last spring, Goodcents led the way with a grocery program, offering curbside pickup of deli meats, cheeses and bread when supermarkets were struggling to keep up with demand. Goodcents sold meat and cheese for $5 per pound and freshly baked loaves of bread for 75 cents per loaf to help their customers through the difficult time.

Goodcents continues to offer curbside pickup and will recommend drive-thrus at new Goodcents locations where possible.
