Dave’s Hot Chicken Bringing 26 Units to Houston and College Station with New Development Deal

Multi-Unit Franchise Group Signs Agreement with Fan-Favorite Nashville Hot Chicken Concept to Open Locations in Area

December 15, 2020 // Franchising.com // HOUSTON - Dave’s Hot Chicken, the Los Angeles-based street food sensation turned breakthrough fast-casual brand, announced today it has inked a franchise agreement with a prominent multi-unit franchise group to open 26 locations throughout the Houston and College Station areas.

“We’re all very excited to break into such a large, diverse and promising market. From a cultural fit, Dave’s Hot Chicken is perfect for these areas,” said Bill Phelps, CEO of Dave’s Hot Chicken. “We’ve partnered with the perfect group to introduce this concept to Houston and College Station, and look forward to growing even more in Texas.”

Dave’s Hot Chicken works well in a variety of floor plans. The team is seeking endcaps with drive-thru infrastructure and a footprint of 2,000 to 2,200 square feet.

“When going through the site selection process, there were several other markets around the country we could have chosen. However, Houston and College Station were the exact places that our group wanted to bring Dave’s Hot Chicken,” said Brian Wells, a spokesman for the group. “Both markets already have a great restaurant scene, and we think Dave’s Hot Chicken will be perfect to elevate them to an even higher - and hotter - level. We can’t wait bring the heat to H-Town and College Station.”

The group is targeting Spring 2021 for the first opening inside “the Loop.”

“Brian and the other members of his group are exactly the type of operating partners that we are looking to grow alongside.
