Junk King’s “Dump Truck” Vs. “Lovestruck” Campaign Wants to Know Who Will Reign Supreme this Valentine’s Day: Broken Hearted or Lovebirds

National Eco-Friendly Junk Removal Company Hosts Campaign to Raise Awareness for American Heart Month

February 02, 2021 // Franchising.com // BURLINGAME, Calif. - Going head-to-head this Valentine’s Day season, the “Dump Truck” and “Lovestruck” campaigns will be fighting for the title of “King of Hearts.”

Junk King, the nation’s leading eco-friendly junk removal and hauling company, is rallying people across the country to fall in love with dumping their ex’s junk this year all for a good cause. The fourth annual “Dump Truck” campaign is empowering people to toss their ex-lover’s forgotten belongings - from old photos, teddy bears, corny gifts and more - into their trucks for free. For each item dumped, Junk King will donate $1 to the American Heart Association up to $500 with a limit of two items dumped per person.

“Dump Trucks” will be making stops at businesses throughout the following cities on February 14: the Bay Area, Boca Raton, Cincinnati, Fresno and Kansas City.

Those who have been lucky enough to find their true match will have a chance to prove the strength of their love as well. To participate, couples are asked to share a photo of themselves and what they love about their partner on Facebook using the hashtag #JKLovestruck and tagging their participating Junk King location as well as Junk King Franchise.

“Lovestruck” will be running from Feb. 1 to Feb. 14 with several Junk King locations participating in California, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio and Texas. Junk King has committed to donating $1 to the American Heart Association for each submission up to $500 with a limit of one submission per couple.

“Giving back, no matter how small or large the action, has always been a driving force for us here at Junk King,” said Michael Andreacchi, CEO of Junk King. “We want to bring awareness to American Heart Month and support the American Heart Association’s efforts in funding research and treatment for heart disease by getting our local communities involved in a unique, engaging way.”

As part of the brand’s year-round commitment to being environmentally conscious, any items tossed at the “Dump Truck” will be taken to a large warehouse to facilitate managing and sorting of the materials. In fact, more than sixty percent of the junk collected from Junk King jobs are recycled, rather than dropped at landfills. Through partnerships with local nonprofits and community organizations, the remaining items are donated and repurposed to benefit residents throughout the United States.

On a national level, the company’s eco-friendly approach to junk removal is a major reason why businesses and homeowners alike choose Junk King. Customers also benefit from the brand’s state-of-the-art technology systems that facilitate scheduling a pick-up in real time and offer an opportunity to get even more accurate estimates with its new pricing estimator. Through its online booking system, all it takes is a few clicks and within a matter of minutes, Junk King can be scheduled and the job can be completed.
