Metal Supermarkets Signs Franchise Agreement to Introduce More of New York Metro to Speed, Variety & Convenience for Small-Quantity Metals

March 10, 2021 // Franchising.com // BROOKLYN, N.Y. - Metal Supermarkets announced today that it has signed franchise and development agreements to bring three new units to Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island.

“The timing was right for me to transition into entrepreneurship, and Metal Supermarkets checked all the boxes for what I want in business ownership,” said Jay Singh, who built a successful career in sales with a leading Metro New York based national home products and décor company. “I was looking to launch a retail-based business that was stable and could have a lasting impact. Likewise, I want to be able to leverage my sales and marketing experience in a new and exciting endeavor.”

The deal with Singh comes amid a pivotal growth phase for Metal Supermarkets. With locations open across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, the company is executing a strategic expansion plan to add 50 new locations during the next four years in targeted markets, including Austin, Boston, Detroit, Milwaukee, New York, Phoenix, Sacramento and San Antonio.

“We are confident Jay has the acumen and drive to ensure Metal Supermarkets broadens its reach and becomes an even more integral part of Metro New York,” said Stephen Schober, President and CEO of Metal Supermarkets. “Our market research has shown that there is a strong demand in the area for our metal supplies, and we are excited to support Jay as he focuses on creating an exceptional customer experience for local businesses and consumers.”
