MY SALON Suite CEO Featured in Franchise Update Magazine

Ken McAllister Profiled in Quarterly Publication Dedicated to Franchisors

March 18, 2021 // Franchising.com // In a recent profile piece for Franchise Update Magazine MY SALON Suite CEO Ken McAllister highlights the franchise’s recession-resistant business model and its fast-paced trajectory to 500 locations by 2025. He also discusses his passion for empowering young entrepreneurs and shares his keys to personal and professional success.

MY SALON Suite, a turnkey salon suite studios franchise that allows salon professionals to provide beauty services to their own respective clients, expects to exceed 250 locations by the end of 2021. The franchise is rapidly growing, along with the success of the salon suite industry.

Franchise Update is a targeted, quarterly magazine aimed at keeping franchise executives on the cutting edge. Its estimated 15,000 readers include CEOs, CFOs, sales executives, and senior-level managers with United States-based franchisors. Each issue features timely interviews, profiles, and contributions from some of the best minds in franchising.

McAllister was featured in the “CEO Profiles” section of 2021’s first edition.

“My distinguished colleagues understand as well as I do that credit for the success of any brand is due to the people who come to work each day with the same passion I have for this company,” says MY SALON Suite CEO and President Ken McAllister. “I was honored to be chosen for this feature from a long list of highly-accomplished CEOs in the world of franchising. It provided an opportunity to highlight MY SALON Suite Members, franchisees, and employees who are dedicated to achieving our long-term goals.”

The three-page article spotlights MY SALON Suite’s notable expansion of 50 new locations despite the 2020 pandemic when many other brick-and-mortar brands struggled with government-mandated closings and restrictions. McAllister attributes the noteworthy growth to an “all-hands-on-deck effort” and virtual workplace infrastructure that was established in 2013, long before the pandemic.

“COVID, specifically, is a storm,” McAllister says in the article. “Like everyone, we had no idea what was going to happen next, especially early, and we were committed to weathering the storm. We embraced a ‘bear down and grind’ mentality that has made us stronger as a collective whole. We are extremely proud of the fact we didn’t furlough or fire anyone. In fact, our staff grew in 2020.”

The feature is the latest accolade for MY SALON Suite. The franchise was recently named a Top Franchise for 2021 by Franchise Business Review. It also reached the milestone of surpassing one-million square footage across its nearly 200 locations. MY SALON Suite has also been recognized as a leading franchise opportunity by some of the most prestigious business lists, including the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 and the Inc. 5000, where it ranked number 100 and 928, respectively.
