Pet Wants Continues to Crush Sales Records With a Strong Start to 2021
Cincinnati-Based Natural Pet Food Franchise Capitalizes on Growing Trend in Pet Care
CINCINNATI (PRWEB) April 26, 2021 - Pet Wants, the Cincinnati-based high-quality pet food and supplies franchise, announces record-setting sales for the tenth consecutive month. The impressive streak started in the heart of the pandemic and continues into 2021 with a strong showing in the first quarter.
January and February sales increased year-over-year by 35 percent and 26 percent respectively. March is now the second highest sales month in Pet Wants’ history, only falling short to December 2020.
Pet Wants provides pet owners with premium, fresh pet food, free of animal by-products and non-nutritious fillers.
“The pet industry exploded in 2020, and we were all curious to see if that momentum would take us into the new year,” said Chris Seman, President of Strategic Franchising. “The Q1 sales numbers show us that Pet Wants continues to be a great investment, and we are really excited about the future.”
Pet Wants added 22 new franchise locations in 2020 and increased its overall sales by 25 percent. According to the American Pet Products Association, Americans are spending more than $36 billion a year on pet food and treats.
Pet wants, which originally launched in 2010, was built to provide small batch, slow-cooked, fresh, high-quality pet food delivered to customers through mobile home delivery services and/or retail stores. The company is tapping into the desire of pet owners to feed their dogs and cats the healthiest food possible.

Most pet food is mass produced and can sit in a warehouse for more than a year before it ends up in a pet’s bowl. Pet Wants ships or delivers inventory to customers within three months of the products being prepared because it believes the shorter the shelf life, the better the nutrition. The nutritional value of mass manufactured food can quickly become compromised, especially when manufacturers load the food with undisclosed additives, preservatives and chemicals which can lead to health issues in pets.
