Exterior remodeler’s charitable organization, Window World Cares, continues its effort to help defeat childhood cancer with more than $12 million donated since 2008.

June 29, 2021 // Franchising.com // N. WILKESBORO, N.C. - Window World®, America’s remodeling company, is proud to share its charitable organization has surpassed $12 million in donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®, with contributions totaling $12,069,541 since the organized effort began in 2008. The milestone was made possible thanks to the franchise’s dedicated store owners, employees, community volunteers and donors at countless walks, golf tournaments, concerts and other fundraising events.

Window World looks beyond its customers’ front doors to focus on community outreach. The company is passionately committed to helping others through Window World Cares®, the charitable arm of Window World that exists to benefit children and families at St. Jude.

“We appreciate every fundraising effort and contribution from Window World and the dedicated franchisees who rally behind St. Jude,” says Richard Shadyac Jr., President and CEO of ALSAC®, the fundraising and awareness organization for St. Jude. “In addition to its remarkable fundraising efforts, Window World has been integral in the success of the annual St. Jude Walk/Run and St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway. The result of this partnership is superlative treatment and groundbreaking research that saves lives.”

Chairman and CEO of Window World, Tammy Whitworth, and her late husband, Todd, started Window World Cares in 2008 after the birth of their first child, Anna Grace. Anna Grace was born premature and spent the first days of her life in a hospital. Tammy and Todd decided to partner with St. Jude after gaining firsthand experience of the strain of worrying about a child’s health.

“Having a child in the hospital is challenging enough for parents,” explains Tammy. “St. Jude’s extraordinary research, treatment and care not only give families hope, but the hospital also takes care of the financial burden. We at Window World feel blessed to be able to contribute to St. Jude’s mission.”

Named for the patron saint of lost causes, St. Jude takes on the most challenging cases of childhood cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. No family ever receives a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food - because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
